AC Cars retained the original blueprints, drawings, and tooling used to build the iconic Cobra during its 1960s partnership with Carroll Shelby. After Brian Angliss acquired AC Cars through Autokraft—already renowned for its Cobra restorations—the company was ideally positioned to produce a limited run of authentic continuation models.

Unlike modern reinterpretations, these cars were built using original tooling, period-correct suspension components, and many of the same specialist suppliers. The aluminium bodywork was hand-formed over original bucks and shaped on an English wheel, in keeping with 1960s construction methods.

COB 5007, an exceptionally rare 5000 Series example, was sourced privately by us after remaining in single ownership from new and covering just 100 miles. Never publicly offered for sale, this significant AC Cobra Continuation was acquired and subsequently sold to its new custodian in Germany.
