1964 AC Continuation Cobra -SOLD-

This LHD MkII Alloy Continuation Cobra chassis and body was built to 1964 specification by AC Cars on the original factory tooling. The Primrose yellow coachwork is pristine with a black leather interior. The 4.7-litre Ford Windsor is fed by four Weber IDA carburettors, and develops in excess of 350bhp. Top speed is estimated at 145mph.

We have used this Cobra for promotion and was featured in Practical Classics with Andy Fairchild (CEO of Footman James and the editor) driving from the Monument in Central London to Borough Market Porter Pub (as seen in the Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels film), then onto Brooklands and south on the A3 to Portsmouth. FIA papers and road registered, ideal for racing or a fast road / track car.  

It has Leaf spring suspension, Koni shocks, Girling brakes, a V8 Mathwell built engine, lead free aluminium Elderbrock heads, roller rockers, Keith Black pistons, 8:1 compression ratio, 4x48 IDA webers, dynode at 433 bhp., small spline 4 speed top loader gearbox, Smiths instruments, S/S exhaust system and chrome wire wheels, This car has chassis number COX 2615, with an FIA http passport it is eligible for historic and classic tours and rallies.
