Full Service History

The 996 is the internal designation for the Porsche 911 model manufactured and sold between 1998 and 2005. On its debut, the 996 featured the most significant changes to the Carrera model since its 1963 introduction, namely the water-cooled engine replacing the previously air-cooled unit. Progressively stringent noise regulations, environmental concerns, a higher expectation for refinement and a high-performance, four-valve per cylinder engine made the switch necessary. Other changes included a sleeker body with a more steeply raked windshield and a redesigned interior. The performance characteristics remained superb with reliability at its core.

We previously handled the sale of this motorcar in 2022, a delightful example of a 2001 Carrera 4 in Schwarz metallic, paired with full black leather trim and Alcantara headlining. Most notably, it is in the highly desirable manual gearbox format. It has recently benefitted from a full respray. The wheels have been refurbished and diamond cut to fuchs styling and are paired with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2s. The dashboard is unmarked within the cabin, with very tidy leather seats and door cards. 
Since we last handled this in early 996, it has been fastidiously maintained by the most recent custodian, who has spent over £7,500 on mechanical works with marque specialists to ensure it's up to standard.
We are also told that £5000 was spent with Prestige & Performance Car Services to restore the paintwork to its stunning condition.
The car was recently fitted with a Pioneer SPH-20DAB head unit with a slide-away phone cradle, hands-free capability and uprated front speakers.

Prior to his ownership, it was under the care of a good customer of ours whom we've known for many years; he set the trend on a no-expense-spared pursuit to keep this car to Stuttgart standard. He entrusted marque specialist Sports and Classic to carry out the works, costing over 20,000 pounds over his seven years of ownership from 2015-2022. We have listed the maintenance of the last two owners below.

Replacement power steering line, replace all lower suspension, trailing and rear toe arms.

Replace starter motor, replace front shock absorbers, replace drive shaft gaiters, replace front disc and pads, replace bank 1-3 vary cam solenoid valve.
29/06/2018:
Replace air conditioning intake pipe, replace front brake pipe over subframe, replace steering rack pipe work on a rack, replace rear discs and pads, replace exhaust tail pipe clamps and support bracket, replace auxiliary drive belt rollers, replace screen washer pump.
25/06/2019
Replace wiper blades, replaced inner steering joint, replace outer track rod ends, replace the key head for remote locking, replace the front badge
16/09/2019:
replace drivers window mechanism, replace front wheel bearings, replace front discs and pads, rectify engine coolant leak, replace drive shaft gaiter on offside front.
22/10/2019:
Replace the water pump 
20/07/2022:
Major service, replace near side rear brake line from brake flex to the union on the floor, investigate abs fault, replace near side rear abs reluctor ring, replace near side window motor, new near side rear speed sensor, replace seal rings on the IMS tensioner and 1-3 tensioner.
