-84,000 Miles
-Very nice condition throughout
- Recently completed a faultless 2000 mile trip to France.
The second generation model of the wildly successful Jeep Wrangler line was introduced in 1996, and referred to internally (and by enthusiasts) as the ‘TJ’ model Wrangler. Powered by a multitude of inline-four and inline-six engines and available in a number of body styles, trim levels and transmission setups, the Wrangler could tackle everything from daily driving duties to beach weekends, off-road adventures and even saw use in commercial rescue applications around the world.
Underneath, numerous improvements over the previous generation could be found, such as fully independent suspension in place of coil springs, an enlarged fuel tank, and other minor mechanical upgrades, which allowed the TJ to suit urban life as much as off-road trekking.
Finished in Silverstone Metallic (60th cars were available only in this colour or metallic black) the 60th Anniversary edition boasted numerous cosmetic and comfort, some post-production upgrades carried out by Jeep specialist Claridges Cars, including the following items:
-4.0-litre inline-six engine
-Body-colour wheel arches and rocker sills
-Full metal doors (as opposed to half-canvas items)
-3 inch Suspension Lift
-American Racing Alloy Wheels with Khumo KL71 Tyres.
-American Short Cut Bumpers with Built in DRL's and Rear Fog and Reverse Lights.
-Custom T304 Stainless Steel Exhaust System
-Recent Black Soft Top
-KC Daylighters Spotlights
-HID Headlight Conversion,
-Radio/CD Player with Bluetooth
-Overhead Sound Bar
-Billet Aluminum Gear Knob
-3 Rear Seat Belts.
It has recently covered 2000 miles by the most recent owner in France and was reported to run faultlessly.
Unlike many jeeps of this era, its bodywork is lovely throughout, with only a few minor blemishes for the 23-year-old bodywork; the underneath is very solid and must be seen to be appreciated.
The history file is significant and is supplied with two keys.
