1974 Jaguar E-Type V12

Chassis No: 1S 2410

Engine No:7S 13061 SB

2 Former Keepers

36,000 miles from new

One consequence of the E-Type Jaguar's long process of development had been a gradual increase in weight, but a good measure of the concomitant loss of performance was restored in 1971 with the arrival of what would be the final version: the 'Series 3' V12. Weighing only 80lb (36.4kg) more than the cast-iron-block 4.2-litre XK six, the new all-alloy, 5.3-litre, overhead-camshaft V12 produced 314 bhp (272 ch DIN), an output good enough for a top speed comfortably in excess of 140mph. Further good news was that the 0-100mph (0-160km/h) time of around 16 seconds made the V12 the fastest-accelerating production E-Type ever made. Built in two-seat roadster and 2+2 coupé versions, both of which used the long-wheelbase floor pan introduced on the Series 2 2+2, the Series 3 E-Type continued the Jaguar tradition of offering a level of performance and luxury unrivalled at the price.

Manufactured on 28th August 1973 this beautiful Series 3 E-Type roadster is a matching numbers example retaining its original chassis, engine and british racing green exterior colour. Equipped with the manual transmission preferred by enthusiasts, the car was delivered new to Clerkenleap Motors, near Worcerster and dispatched on the 10th October 1973. It has been in single ownership since 2002 and has been part of an eclectic British collection, used sparingly and meticulously maintained. It has wonderful correspondence between the most recent and the original owner.

It has recently undergone a full service and is prepared for immediate enjoyment
