This 1965 Buick Electra 225 Convertible was first registered in Wisconsin before being sold to someone in Arizona. The 3rd owner transported it to Minnesota where it then spent 40+ years in dry storage, with the owner he fitting factory air-con plus upgrading the front 4-way power seats to 6-way.
Our client bought the car in 2017, had it shipped to California and had a new top and interior installed, had it serviced and used it as a holiday car before shipping to the UK in 2019.
He asked us to do a bare metal repaint in June 2020 as the original paint had seen better days. It only shows 01520 on the dash, and as the milage is unknown we have put it down as 101520.
The Fisher body is blemish free with only small marks on the bumpers. Underneath features an even coat of black protection with no evidence of replacement, damage or patch repairs. There is an NOS front bumper that can be sold with the car, plus several boxes of spares. Also included are a set of factory tinted side windows (not fitted) a factory option for convertibles at the time.
The AM/ FM radio and power antenna work well. The A/ C blows cool air. The heater and defogger both work too. This car features power hood, power steering, power brakes, power windows, six way seat, cornering lights and trunk release plus, cruise control.
Under the hood the Buick’s 401 ‘Nailhead’ Wildcat V8 (that’s 6. 5 litres) with four-barrel carbs, a Super Turbine 400 three-speed automatic transmission. It has the optional Wildcat wheels rather than the standard hub caps.
